Summary

Fruits crop, especially of berries is vey irregular, highly depended on weather conditions. The peak raw material delivery to the freezing plants surpasses sometimes twice the average. Installation of the conventional freezing machinery for this peak capacity, utilized few weeks per year only is economically unjustified. The rational solution is a combined fluidized bed and LN2 freezing. By very low investment costs the fluidized bed freezer's capacity can be nearly doubled.
