A FIRST TABLE COMPARES THE TONNAGES OF FROZEN FOODS IN FRANCE, BY KIND OF PRODUCTS FOR DIRECT CONSUMPTION BETWEEN 1981 AND 1982: PRODUCTION, IMPORTS, EXPORTS, APPARENT MARKET. IN 1982, THE PRODUCTION AMOUNTED TO 492,884 T, IE +23.4% COMPARED TO 1981. THAT OF FROZEN FOODS (ALSO FOR DIRECT CONSUMPTION), IE 456,699 T IN 1982, INCREASED BY 10.6% COMPARED TO THE PRECEDING YEAR. IN 1982, FRENCH CONSUMPTION PER CAPITA IS ESTIMATED AT 10.7 KG DEEP-FROZEN FOODS AND 3.8 KG FROZEN FOODS. A THIRD TABLE GIVES THE TONNAGES (BY KINDS) OF DEEP-FROZEN AND FROZEN MEAT PRODUCTS IN 1982, WITH A PRODUCTION OF DEEP-FROZEN MEAT (72,975 T) 12% HIGHER THAN THAT OF 1981. A FOURTH TABLE COMPARES (ALSO BY KINDS) THE TONNAGES OF IMPORTED AND EXPORTED FROZEN AND DEEP-FROZEN FOODS (INCLUDING 33,800 T IMPORTED FROZEN OFFALS). G.G.
