The market for liquefied petroleum gas transporting ships in 1992 and early 1993.

Author(s) : BAUDU F.

Summary

The paper was presented at an international seminar in Paris in June 1993. Reasons for the slump observed in the market of different ship size classes (ranging from less than 5,000 to 85,000 m3) are examined in the light of an overall analysis of the liquefied petroleum gas transporting fleet in 1993 and in considering different types of transported products (ammonia, petrochemical products, LPG). The second-hand market and the particular situation of some shipowners are also taken into account. Y.G.
