THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF CRYOGENIC REGENERATOR EFFICIENCY WITH VARIATION OF THERMAL PROPERTIES OF THE GAS.

Author(s) : YUAN X.

Summary

THE AUTHOR STUDIES HEAT TRANSFER CONDITIONS FOR THE CRYOGENIC REGENERATOR AND DEVELOPS HAUSENS' DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION. HE PRESENTS THE DIAGRAM OF THE TEMPERATURE PROFILE OF FILLING AND GAS AS A FUNCTION OF TIME IN SOME SECTIONS AND COMPARES TRANSIENT AND STEADY WORKING CONDITIONS. HE ANALYSES LOSSES AND SUGGESTS IMPROVING THE ECONOMY OF THE SYSTEM BY INCREASING EFFICIENCY. ONE CAN CALCULATE THAT THE EFFICIENCY OF A CRYOGENIC REGENERATOR MAY BE HIGHER BY MORE THAN 99%. CALCULATED DATA ARE CONFIRMED BY PUBLISHED TEST RESULTS.
