The osmotic behaviour of mouse oocytes and embryos: the role of cytoskeleton.
Author(s) : ROZANOV L. F., SMOLYANINOVA E. I.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Comparative studies were carried out using the volumetric method on the kinetics of osmotic behaviour of mouse oocytes and embryos in solutions of permeable cryoprotectants with different contents of extracellular salt. The features of osmotic behaviour of cells that are difficult to be explained in terms of the membrane theory may be interpreted from the point of view of current concepts of the significance of intracellular matrix in the regulation of cell volume.
