Summary

Opinions of an important manufacturer of refrigerating units on the selection of CFC substitutes. Waiting for final and proved conclusions concerning new refrigerants, this manufacturer recommends the use of R22 because it is more environmentally friendly, it has been used for a long time, and its low cost. But, as an alternative, it also proposes to its customers the use of R134a, HP62, AZ50 or FX70 which are promising. Their advantages and drawbacks are compared with those of R22. J.R.
