Type of article: Article
Summary
TODAY'S TECHNOLOGY IN CRYOPRESERVATION HAS BEEN DEVELOPED MAINLY BY CRYOBIOLOGISTS, BUT FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS SHOULD BE PURSUED BY COLLABORATION BETWEEN CRYOBIOLOGISTS AND CRYOGENIC ENGINEERS IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE BREAKTHROUGHS IN THE FUTURE. THE FUNDAMENTALPRINCIPLES OF CRYOPRESERVATION, THE PRESENT STATUS AND FUTURE TRENDS IN THE CRYOPRESERVATION OF VARIOUS CELLS AND TISSUES ARE DESCRIBED BY THE AUTHORS.
