THE ARTICLE DEALS WITH THE SPECIFIC PROBLEMS WHICH OCCUR DURING THE STAGE OF DESIGN IN CENTRAL INSTALLATIONS, INSTALLED IN SUPERMARKETS WHEN A SWITCH-OVER IS MADE FROM R12 TO R22. SPECIAL ATTENTION IS PAID TO POSSIBLE OIL PROBLEMS AND TO HIGH DISCHARGE TEMPERATURES. IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A SUCCESSFUL DESIGN OF CENTRAL INSTALLATIONS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS, WHEN R22 IS SELECTED AS THE REFRIGERANT: TYPE OF COMPRESSOR CHOSEN, REFRIGERATION OIL AND ADEQUATE DISCHARGE TEMPERATURE WHICH HAS TO BE KEPT WITHIN ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.
