Thermal diffusivity and sound velocity of alternative refrigerants by dynamic light scattering.

Author(s) : KRAFT K., LEIPERTZ A.

Summary

Thermal diffusivity and sound velocity of both phases of saturated R32, R125, R134a, R142b and R152a from room temperature to the critical point are presented which have been measured by means of dynamic light scattering in macroscopic thermodynamic equilibrium. For some refrigerants the results are compared to those gained by traditional methods as the transient hot wire technique. For some of them the data consistency is within the estimated accuracy, for others a significant deviation has been found in particular when approaching the critical point. Regression formulas representing the measured data are presented to simplify the practical use of results.
