The viscosity and thermal conductivity of liquid refrigerants up to 20 megapascals pressure.

Summary

Correlations, based on the authors' recent measurements of the viscosity and thermal conductivity of refrigerants R32, R124, R125, R134a, R141b and R152a are presented. The viscosity measurements were performed in a vibrating-wire instrument in the temperature range 270-340 K and pressures up to 20 megapascals, with more or less 0.5% uncertainty. In the case of the thermal-conductivity measurements, a transient-hot wire instrument was employed with more or less 0.5% uncertainty, over the temperature range 250-340 K and pressures up to 20 megapascals. The correlations are used as a base line for the comparison with other, recently published, investigators along the saturation line.
