Summary

TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THERMOPOWER < A > AND ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY OF A YBACUO(X) CERAMICS WITH X = 6.4, 6.6 AND 6.9 WAS STUDIED IN A 50-300 K TEMPERATURE RANGE UNDER HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE UP TO 1.2 GIGAPASCAL. THE THERMOPOWER WAS POSITIVE FOR EACH OF THE T, X AND P VALUES STUDIED. FOR TEMPERATURES BETWEEN 100 AND 160 K, THE CURVE < A > (T) HAS A MAXIMUM. PRESSURE IS FOUND TO AFFECT THE MAXIMUM IN THE SAME WAY AS INCREASE IN OXYGEN CONTENT.
