THERMOSTABILITY TEST OF TRIFLUOROETHANOL (TFE) AND WATER MIXTURES.

Author(s) : NAMIKI H., INO N., KASAHARA K.

Summary

THE AUTHORS HAVE SELECTED, FOR A HIGH-TEMPERATURE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM, A TFE AND WATER MIXTURE PRESENTING GOOD CYCLE PROPERTIES, AND HAVE CARRIED OUT TWO THERMAL-STABILITY TESTS WITH THIS MIXTURE IN THE PRESENCE OF OIL. THE FIRST TEST CONSISTED IN A SEALED TUBE WITH LUBRICATION OIL AND METALS, AND THE SECOND ONE CONSISTED IN A CONTINUOUS TEST WITH A REAL PM. THESE TWO TESTS ON THERMAL STABILITY MADE IT POSSIBLE TO CONFIRM THE POSSIBILITY OF USING THE TFE AND WATER MIXTURE AS A WORKING FLUID IN A HEAT PUMP SYSTEM.
