COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP OPERATING WITH A FLUID MIXTURE.

POMPE A CHALEUR A COMPRESSION UTILISANT UN MELANGE DE FLUIDES.

Author(s) : RAMET C., ROJEY A.

Summary

THE COP OF A COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP CAN BE IMPROVED BY USING A FLUID MIXTURE SELECTED FOR TEMPERATURE VARIATION IN THE EVAPORATOR AND THE CONDENSER, AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THAT OF THE OUTSIDE FLUID DURING HEAT EXCHANGE. WHEN THE TEMPERATURE INTERVAL OF HEAT RECOVERY IS SMALLER THAN THE INTERVAL OF HEAT SUPPLY, A SPECIFIC FLOWSHEET INVOLVING AN INTERNAL HEAT EXCHANGER IMPROVES FURTHER THE PERFORMANCES OF THE FLUID MIXTURE. A SUBSTANTIAL GAIN IN THERMAL CAPACITY WAS ACHIEVED THROUGH A SELECTED FLUID MIXTURE USED IN STANDARD HEAT PUMPS, THIS RESULT LEADS TO A LOWER INVESTMENT COST AND THEREFORE SHOULD EXTEND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH EQUIPMENT.
