Number: pap. ID: 454

Author(s) : NICHITA T. M., CHIRIAC F., ILIE A., et al.

Summary

In comparison with classical refrigerants agents, ice slurry is an intermediate agent, with phase-change that recommends it for the air conditioning applications. This paper highlights the benefits of using the ice-slurry in comfort and technological air conditioning. In addition the authors examine the ice slurry generators types. Following the analysis made yielded that the scrape surface type generator could be used both for comfort and technological air conditioning (evaporation temperatures of (-40°C) while the vacuum type generator operates at high vaporization temperatures (4°C).
