Summary

The paper gives some examples of facilities for melting and transporting snow in Sapporo, along with discussions of the close affinity between snow melting system and sewerage system and on the heat value of the treated waste water as well as on the snow transporting ability of the channel. The energy sources are heat of treated waste water and heat from solid waste incineration plants.
