Author(s) : PHAM Q. T.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

THE VAISALA PROBE IS A SENSITIVE INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING RH BELOW 273 K (0 DEG C), BUT TEMPERATURE EFFECTS ARE LARGE AND WILL AFFECT THE SENSITIVITY OF THIS INSTRUMENT. ITS CALIBRATION IS STABLE OVER PERIODS OF ABOUT ONE MONTH BUT NEAR SATURATION SENSOR RECALIBRATION IS NECESSARY. THE TEMPERATURE SENSITIVITY CHANGES MARKEDLY OVER LONG PERIODS. THE EQUILIBRIUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF FROZEN LAMB WAS EQUAL TO THAT OF ICE.
