Use of CO2 as a refrigerant in a cascade system or as a secondary refrigerant or CO2 as both. 1.
Utilisation du CO2 comme frigorigène dans un système en cascade ou comme frigoporteur ou les deux à la fois. 1.
Author(s) : STENHEDE C.
Type of article: Article, Review, Case study
Summary
This article draws a comparison between the use of CO2 and other fluids, either as refrigerant in the low-temperature stage of a cascade system, or as a "liquivap" secondary refrigerant and as other common single-phase refrigerants, cooled in classic circuits. The desired temperature levels are those encountered in supermarkets, cold stores or food processing plants.
