Summary

NEW AUTOMATED COOLING SYSTEMS FOR MILK, USING BOTH NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL SOURCES OF LOW TEMPERATURE WERE DEVELOPED. THE BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR THIS DEVELOPMENT ARE GIVEN. FOUR LINES BASED ON DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGIES WITH VARIOUS COOLING SYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED ; DIAGRAMS AND TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS ARE ALSO GIVEN. THE ADVANTAGES OF THESE NEW COOLINGSYSTEMS, PRINCIPALLY THE REDUCTION IN ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION, ARE MENTIONED.
