Water tunnel flow improvement using a flow conditioning section and hydrogen bubble visualization method.
Author(s) : UDRISTE D. I., KAZMIERCZAK M.
Summary
Methods aimed at improving the quality of flow in a water tunnel used to study transient convective freezing and melting of ice on cold tubes in crossflow are examined. Use of standard flow conditioning elements are demonstrated which resulted in a uniform inlet velocity profile in the test section.
