Publication of an update on new refrigerants designations and safety classifications.

UN Environment and ASHRAE recently published a fact sheet to provide an update on ASHRAE Standards 34, which lists the designations of refrigerants.
ASHRAE Standard 34 (Designation and Safety Classification of Refrigerants) is a useful tool to refer to common refrigerants with a simplified designation, instead of the chemical formula. Refrigerants are numbered with an R-, followed by the ASHRAE assigned number.

UN Environment and ASHRAE published a fact sheet to present Standard 34 and Standard 15 (Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems). The fact sheet also provides the list of the new approved refrigerant numbers from the latest edition of Standard 34 and addenda that were assigned from 2010 onward.
