Résumé

These proceedings contain 24 papers presented at this conference, held in Paris, France. The theme was the bringing together of scientific, ethical and cultural values, as well as practical realities, in order to make useful recommendations for the preparation of international standards by the OIE. It contains recommendations from the various working groups, which consisted of experts from the different stakeholder groups, namely the public and private sector, research and education, and non-governmental organisations.
