Summary

This report first reviews the market for quick-frozen food and ice creams in France in 1992. Comparative statistics for 1991-1992 are then given by product category: quick-frozen products for direct consumption, frozen products for direct consumption, and frozen products to be used after processing; ice creams, sherbets, and frozen desserts. A long chapter is devoted to international trade in quick-frozen and frozen products. Finally, some data are provided on products stored in cold stores opened to the public in 1992, and on the foreign markets for quick-frozen products and ice creams.
