A freshly squeezed market.

Summary
The cold chain has been through quite a turmoil over recent years. Deregulation of export marketing boards in producing countries and the increasing influence of retail giants has created upheaval in the marketing structure of the industry. Simultaneously, the "drift" from reefer ship use towards containerization has brought a revolution in the logistics chain and fears that the traditional reefer ship fleet is in a downward spiral. Some believe this is irreversible owing to ageing tonnage and lack of investment in new ships.
