Summary
A GENERALIZED REPRESENTATION OF THE VAPOUR-PRESSURE CURVE FOR REFRIGERANTS WAS PROPOSED ON THE BASIS OF THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA OF VAPOUR PRESSURE FOR R12, R22, R13, R23, R13B1, R114, R116, AND R152A. WITH RESPECT TO THE FUNCTIONAL FORM OF THE GENERALIZED REPRESENTATION OF THE VAPOUR-PRESSURE CURVE, PITZER EXPANSION BASED ON THE PRINCIPLE OF CORRESPONDING STATES WITH AN ACENTRIC FACTOR WAS ADOPTED. THE COEFFICIENTS IN THE REPRESENTATION WERE DETERMINED BY A LEAST SQUARES FITTING TO THE EXPERIMENTAL VAPOUR PRESSURE DATA. THE PROPOSED GENERALIZED REPRESENTATION REPRODUCES MOST OF THESE DATA WITHIN A PRESSURE DEVIATION OF MORE OR LESS 1.0% IN THE REDUCED TEMPERATURE RANGE HIGHER THAN 0.4.
