A ROLE OF THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES RESEARCH ON REFRIGERANT MIXTURES.

Author(s) : WATANABE K.

Summary

THE PAPER IS AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT STATE-OF-THE-ART IN THE FIELD OF THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES RESEARCH ON REFRIGERANT MIXTURES. AN EMPHASIS, HOWEVER, IS GIVEN TO REVIEW THE CURRENT RESEARCH PROGRAMS ON THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF NONAZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES SUITABLE TO ADVANCED VAPOURCOMPRESSION HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS. SOME OF THE DETAILED DISCUSSION ON THE PROSPECTIVENESS OF USING NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES FOR HEAT PUMPS ARE PRESENTED BASED UPON THERMODYNAMIC CONSIDERATION OF THEIR THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTY BEHAVIOUR. SPECIFIC EMPHASIS IS ALSO GIVEN TO THE ON-GOING RESEARCH PROGRAMS BY SEVERAL INSTITUTIONS IN JAPAN SO AS TO STRESS THE ESSENTIAL NECESSITY OF EXPANDING THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES RESEARCH IN THIS FIELD EVEN FOR THE FUTURE.
