Summary

DESCRIBES A SIMPLIFIED METHOD OF CALCULATING AIR-AIR HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS DESTINED FOR HEATING. STATES THE METHOD ESTABLISHES A CORRELATION BETWEEN THE AVERAGE SEASONAL COP OF THE SYSTEM AND 3 PARAMETERS WHICH ARE A FUNCTION OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION, THE BUILDING AND THE HEAT PUMP ITSELF. DESCRIBES HOW THE CORRELATION HAS BEEN OBTAINED ON THE BASIS OF EARLIER SIMULATIONS USING THE COMPUTER PROGRAM SSBC. CONCLUDES THAT THE PROCEDURE MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THE MEAN SEASONAL COP OF THE SYSTEM WITH A MAXIMUM ERROR OF 9%. (INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB., 24, N 2, 1989/03-04, 89-00380.
