Summary

In this study, we investigated the adsorption-desorption behavior of fin-tube heat exchanger coated with AQSOA-Z01 as an unique desiccant material. In this heat exchanger, heat of adsorption can be effectively removed by flowing water in adsorption step and adsorbent can be heated to the regeneration temperature by circulating hot water in regeneration step. However, the adsorption-desorption behavior of water vapor in this system is still unclear. Therefore, the influences of temperature of hot-water circulating in the heat exchange on the adsorption-desorption behavior and heat-flow were experimentally analyzed. It was found that dehumidification performance increased with increasing the hot water temperature 50-70 oC. On the other hand, the dehumidifying performance did not enhance when hot water temperature increased from 70 oC to 80 oC since the performance control step was switched to adsorption from regeneration. Also, heat-flow analysis indicated that heat supplied to the heat exchanger was not effectively used for the regeneration of adsorbent under such higher regeneration temperature.
