Summary
Steam-powered absorption cooling is a proven technology that offers an often-overlooked alternative to electric cooling. Although this technology has advanced significantly in recent years, it has received far less attention than the predominant alternative - gas-powered cooling. In order to understand steam-powered cooling better, this article presents some of its basic precepts and compares the most common types of chillers for large-capacity plants.
