Summary
Using an engineering example, the paper simulates and analyses the air distribution in a laminar flow sterile ward adopting the CFD technique. Based on the optimization design for air distribution, it makes a proper arrangement of the units, and compares the energy consumption between the primary air return system and the secondary air return system. It analyses if reheat is necessary or not to the secondary air return system and the determination of the reheat quantity.
