Summary

He explains the requirements of Lloyd's Register of Shipping for the use of ammonia and describes the ammonia equipment on board 5 ships built by the Danish, for which the rules of Lloyd's are observed. The device for absorbing ammonia in the event of a large leak is described; it includes a brine circuit.
