Summary
A report is given on the one-year experimental operation of an ammonia plant in a supermarket for two cold rooms and a meat-cutting room. Results showed that ammonia is a good option for installations with capacities from 5 to 200 kilowatts and direct injection. An ammonia installation with direct injection is more expensive than an R22 plant, but cheaper than an ammonia plant with pump circulation.
