Ammonia versus refrigerant 22.
Author(s) : GAMERIO W.
Summary
The author discusses regulations governing CFCs and lists the refrigerating engineer's options in commercial and industrial contexts. Plant using R22 and plant using ammonia (copper, steel, performance, circuit design, problems with oils, etc) are then compared. Many diagrams and tables show particular layouts to be used in good circuit design, as well as sizing of piping and equipment using ammonia or R22.
