An innovative approach for the screening and development of CFC alternatives.
Author(s) : GRZYLL L. R., PARRISH C. F.
Summary
Computational chemistry techniques to identify a series of compounds for use as CFC replacements are successfully used. The approach allows to screen compounds based on their molecular structure, where no thermodynamic, physical, or toxicological data exists. This approach is valuable for solvent replacements and is also useful for the development of CFC alternatives for refrigeration.
