Summary

The Angelys variety of pear bred by INRA (France) shows little susceptibility to fire blight and is characterized by a good yield in the orchard. However, it appears to have limited compatibility with the quince rootstock EM.C. The fruit is harvested in late September. It is of good size, good flavour and has a bronze colour over 50 to 100% of its surface depending on the year, under the conditions present in Southern France. Angelys pears can be stored until February to April, according to the postharvest conditions.
