Summary

This large airport has an initial cooling load of 42 megawatts, to be extended to 70 megawatts. This would have imposed a high load on the electrical utility, so the centrifugal compressors are driven by dual fuel (natural gas and kerosene) engines. This has attracted a grant of 1.6 million US dollars from the Public Service. The initial refrigerant is R22, with the option to convert to R134a. A.R.T.
