ShareCFC-free replacements for R503.

Summary
R503 is widely used in low temperature cascade refrigeration systems. Due to the ozone depleting effects of the CFCs including CFC-13, R503 production has been banned. Azeotropic mixtures containing HFC-23, R116 and R744 as possible replacements for R503 are described. Azeotropic composition have been identified and the basic properties measured. These properties are compared with those of R503.
