Characteristics of an air-conditioning system with an additional condenser.

Summary
By installing an additional condenser on an air-conditioning machine designed for HCFC-22, a more efficient heat pump system could be operated with HCFC-22 and HFC-134a without changing mineral lubricant oil. It was shown that the COP for cooling operation was improved by 3% when operating with HCFC-22 and by more than 10% when operating with HFC-134a. By flow visualization, it was confirmed that HFC-134a and the mineral oil circulated normally during operation even though they were not miscible.
