
Summary
This paper analyses the charge reduction options in ammonia systems with an emphasis on heat exchangers. The focus is on microchannel heat exchangers. New data on void fraction of ammonia flow in microchannels are presented along with the data on an air-cooled condenser and system. The paper presents excellent possibilities of ammonia versus other refrigerants in microchannels.
