IIR document
Chemical reactions in ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon systems.
Author(s) : BROESBY-OLSEN F.
Summary
In the general view, chemical reaction problems in refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants are surprisingly few. With hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide, problems are considerably smaller than earlier with CFC or now with HCFC. Known and possible chemical reactions in ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon systems will be discussed and compared to the situation in CFC, HCFC and HFC systems.
