CO2 flow boiling heat transfer in horizontal tubes. 2. Experimental results.

Summary
An experimental study was conducted to measure CO2 flow boiling heat transfer coefficients in a 4.572 mm ID horizontal tube. The test conditions were: CO2 mass flux from 500 to 1670 kg/m2.s; heat flux from 10 to 50 kW/m2.s; saturation temperature from -2 to 10 °C; and qualities from 0 to 0.95. The effects of heat flux and mass flux on the CO2 flow boiling heat transfer coefficients are presented. (See also this Bulletin, references 2003-2190 and 2003-2192.)
