CO2 flow boiling heat transfer in horizontal tubes. 3. Prediction of the heat transfer coefficient.

Author(s) : SUN Z., GROLL E. A.

Summary

A flow boiling heat transfer prediction method for CO2 was developed to cover the predryout, dryout, and postdryout flow regimes. This method is described and evaluated using the experimental data and other data found in the literature. A comparison between the heat transfer coefficient prediction method presented in the study and the traditional flow boiling correlations shows that significant improvements have been achieved.
