COMPARISON OF THE PERFORMANCES OF INDIVIDUAL REVERSIBLE AIR CONDITIONERS. THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC TESTS.

COMPARAISON DES PERFORMANCES DE CLIMATISEURS REVERSIBLES INDIVIDUELS. ESSAIS THERMIQUES ET ACOUSTIQUES.

Summary

SURVEY OF THE DIFFERENT REVERSIBLE AIR CONDITIONING UNITS FOUND IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN 1985, WITH A SUMMARY OF THE MAIN EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS OBTAINED IN LABORATORY. THERMAL POWER, ELECTRIC POWER, COP, REFRIGERATING EFFICIENCY, AND SOUND POWER LEVEL WERE MEASURED. EXPERIMENTS WERE DONE FOR DIFFERENT OUTDOORAND INDOOR AIR CONDITIONS. THE THERMAL POWER, THE COP, THE REFRIGERATING EFFICIENCY AND THE SOUND POWER LEVEL FOR ONE SET OF CONDITIONS (AND FOR THE LARGEST AIR FLOW RATE) ARE PRESENTED: THE RESULTS ARE NOT DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF AIR CONDITIONING UNIT BUT ON THE MANUFACTURER. THE COP IS RANGING FROM 1.85 TO 2.87. AT LEAST GOOD COP AND REFRIGERATING EFFICIENCY ARE VERY OFTEN BOUND TO A LOW SOUND POWER LEVEL.
