CONDENSATION OF NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES INSIDE A HORIZONTAL TUBE.

Author(s) : FUJII T., KOYAMA S.

Summary

CONDENSATION INSIDE A HORIZONTAL TUBE IS TREATED IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE VAPOUR COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP USING NON-AZEOTROPIC REFRIGERANT MIXTURES. THE EFFECT OF HEAT TRANSFER UPON COP IS CLARIFIED BY THE THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE ACTUAL HEAT PUMP CYCLES USING R22-R11 MIXTURE. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS FOR CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER OF R22-R114, R114-R113 AND R11-R113 MIXTURES IN VARIOUS TYPES OF DOUBLE TUBE COUNTER FLOW CONDENSERS ARE PRESENTED. A METHOD FOR PREDICTING HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT BETWEEN VAPOUR AND TUBE WALL DERIVED BY COMBINING THE HEAT TRANSFER EQUATION FOR THE CONDENSATE FILM AND THE MASS TRANSFER EQUATION FOR THE VAPOUR PHASE IS SHOWN.
