CA-STORED FRUITS WERE FIRMER, CONTAINED MORE ACID AND RETAINED THEIR QUALITY MARKEDLY BETTER. HIGH PERCENTAGES OF LENTICEL ROTTING WERE FOUND IN CA WITH LESS THAN 1% CARBON DIOXIDE AT 273 K (0 DEG C). SOFT SCALD OCCURRED IN CA AT 273 K. CA-STORAGE IS RECOMMENDED AT 276 K (3 DEG C), 1-2% OXYGEN AND 3-5% CARBON DIOXIDE.
