A CRYOPRESERVATION METHOD INVOLVING PREGROWTH IN THE PRESENCE OF MANNITOL, CRYOPROTECTION WITH GLUCOSE AND DMSO, FREEZING SLOWLY TO 238 K (-35 DEG C), STORAGE IN LIQUID NITROGEN AND RAPID THAWING ROUTINELY ALLOWS THE MAJORITY OF THE CELLS TO REGENERATE. RECOVERY TAKES PLACE RAPIDLY AND MORPHOLOGY IS NORMAL.
