Deep freezer and refrigerated trolleys on the basis of water-zeolite adsorption systems.

Author(s) : SCHWARZ J., WAGNER C.

Summary

Technical problems with refrigeration of food supplies in passenger trains and during transport to the train are described. Two semi-open adsorption systems using water-zeolite as working fluid and adsorber are presented, which fulfill the special requirements of the food transport chain between the catering firm and the on-board galley. The economic and environmental advantages of these novel adsorption systems are discussed.
