Designing ammonia systems for maintenance and safety.

Author(s) : WEBSTER G. J.

Summary

The goal of design and maintenance is to account for the safety of workers and the nearby community given the inherent risks of ammonia. Properly designed, maintained, and operated, these systems can be safe. The examples provided in this paper highlight protective ways of meeting this goal, though there may be similarly protective alternate ways of designing, maintaining, and/or operating an ammonia system.
