Summary

The paper deals with determination of heat transfer surface area for the case of refrigeration condenser supplied with strongly superheated vapour. The present topic is especially important for heat recovery process of superheated vapour. The problem whether a part of a condenser operates under conditions of superheated vapour convective heat transfer without condensation may be thought as very important. The overall heat transfer coefficient for non-condensing zone of a condenser is significantly lower in comparison with one calculated for vapour condensation conditions. The authors presented own approach to evaluate non-condensation zone heat transfer in the condenser. The exemplary results of numerical calculation of water cooled condenser of refrigerant R404A vapour have been presented in the paper.
