Summary
From the year 1991 to 1995 the amount of imported fresh vegetables has increased steadily. The import approaches 1 million tons per year. In this article, the reasons for this recent increase are explained identifying various problems with the large amount of pumpkins imported from countries of the southern hemisphere.
