Summary

In 1999, the authors started the development of CO2 heat pump water heater for residential use. A prototype was designed and made. Evaluation of its characteristics and performances were done. The paper describes the outline of the prototype and the experimental results. CO2 heat pump water heater can produce high temperature hot tap water with high efficiency.
